Dr. Ken Klingler - DMD of Foothills Dental

Dr. Ken Klingler grew up in a charming 100-year-old farmhouse in Rexburg, ID. The house was positioned in front of a dairy farm, where he had permission to roam. This led to frequent fishing excursions in the Texas Slough Creek behind the farm; both by rod and hand. Dr. Ken Klingler developed a strong work ethic established at a young age with his first job moving irrigation pipes in the surrounding farmers’ fields. His interest in dentistry would come later in life when a pogo stick accident left his little brother temporarily disfigured. 

Dr. Ken Klingler had the opportunity to spend two years in Mexico where he learned Spanish and fell in love with Mexican culture and cuisine. Upon his return from Mexico, he attended BYU-Idaho where he earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology and met the love of his life, a small-town girl from the heart of Oregon’s wine country. 

After graduating from BYU-Idaho, he headed South with his wife and two daughters to Charleston, South Carolina where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and a degree in Beach Bumming from Carolina’s coastline. While in dental school Dr. Klingler was blessed with the addition of two more beautiful daughters. When looking for a place to settle down, it was a no-brainer that Idaho is where the Klingler family wanted to be.

Dr. Ken Klingler enjoys spending time with his family and always has a project he is working on. He enjoys spending time outdoors, restoring vintage motorcycles, and working on starting a hobby farm with his daughters. He and his family love the great state of Idaho and are proud to call it home.

Dr Ken Klingler is always looking into new research to further his education and to better serve his patients. He provides a wide array of restorative and cosmetic treatments and offers in-house clear aligner consults and fabrication.

Dr. Klingler interacts with each patient in honor of his favorite quote from Dr. Maya Angelou, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel”. He treats every patient like family and ensures they leave the office feeling better than when they came.
